United by imagination
Our people are naturally curious, sometimes provocative, but always thoughtful in what we do.
We believe a democratic design process creates the best outcomes. When everyone is involved, we’re getting the best out of the experiences and creativity that others can bring to the table. We embrace a collaborative process, whether it’s with clients, consultants or fellow designers. That’s why we’re always seeking talent and expertise.
Sandra Furtado
Director
M. Arch, M. BE (Sustainable Development)
Sandra began her architectural journey over 30 years ago, aged eight, when she started designing imaginary projects. With technical support provided by her father, she began testing her first ideas on paper using different model-making techniques and experimenting with various materials. Her inquisitive nature and curiosity is still present today in everything she puts her mind to.
Born and educated in Portugal, Sandra later lived and worked in Italy, The Netherlands, Cape Verde and China before settling in Australia in 2005. Here in Sydney, she has been intrinsically involved in notable large-scale projects including 8 Chifley and the Barangaroo Masterplan and International Towers. She led the design of One Circular Quay hotel as Design Director of Crone, in collaboration with Kengo Kuma and Associates, driving the vision and design aspirations on the development.
Her holistic approach to design, respecting context and ecology, challenges how we create buildings both as single entities and how they fit into the greater urban scale.
Peter Sullivan
Director
B.Arch (Hons)
With an architectural career that has traversed all scales, from the intimate to the urban scale, Peter has always held a fascination for how individuals experience and respond to the cities in which they live.
Working with globally acclaimed Rogers Stirk Harbour and Partners on the Barangaroo development, Peter lead the podiums, lobbies and public domain teams of the International Towers, taking the project from concept design stage through design development. With Lendlease he took the development to completion.
Notwithstanding his passion for the urban scale Peter has worked on highly crafted, small-scale residential architecture and interior projects, which has instilled in him a detailed and holistic architectural approach. His skill in crafting facades at a commercial level is evidenced on Opera Residences Circular Quay in collaboration with Tzannes, and One Circular Quay Hotel with Kengo Kuma and Associates, as Associate Director of Crone.
Peter seeks synergies across multidisciplinary fields to establish and implement innovative ideas that lead to improved design outcomes.
